The original instrument is housed at the Markneukirchen Musical Instrument Museum and bears inventory number 1349. The neck and the neck-to-body joint are original. However, a wedge was glued under the fingerboard to raise the string action. Components such as the fingerboard, tailpiece, pegs, and bridge were lost and are reconstructed in the replica based on historical Vogtland models.
